From our humble start and over a long slog, 8trk has been pushing its message online and off about how the music industry needs a change. I hesitated to post this but I would be remiss if I didn’t because with your help and the team’s help (and Google’s help), people are learning about and signing up all over the world to be a part of 8trk’s rally cry to reclaim music (yes . . . that map aboves is an actual 8trk visitor map).
That’s more than just rhetoric folks. 8trk is different because it has a simple core idea: the music space is chaotic and scattered; and we (all of us) can help fix it.
Thanks for all of your love and support. Please tell your friends and we’ll work hard to keep things fresh and exciting as we countdown to launch.
I am happy to report that the main reason for the gaps in posting are related to the rapid growth and development of the actual 8trk platform. I have been traveling back and forth between NYC and our office in State College meeting people, working on a launch campaign, preparing for quick scale and a host of other things that are an important part of getting this deal off the ground.
I hope you all have signed up for alpha because you could be tapped on your shoulder to login to the demo site any day now.
It has been a long journey and despite the bumps in the road and the detours we’ve had to take, we are still rollin’; moving forward to deliver the goods. I have watch closely the successes and blunders of other music focused sites and there have been no real surprises or worthwhile impressions. That’s good and bad - its sucks as a fan because its the same old hassles, but it indeed starves the market for what 8trk has to offer.
Thanks for checking back!

I know, I know . . . it’s been a long time. But things are that busy and that is a good thing! Since my last post, we have hired a new exec, added some new developers, raised a little money and created a serious off-line buzz about what we are up to.
But how could I forget you guys
! ? !
8trk is stronger than ever right now and closer each day to getting out the door and onto your browsers. Sign-ups for Alpha testing are back open as we prepare the launch. Everything is in place and since I have probably built too much suspense in the past, I won’t tell you how awesome this is going to be (i’ll just type it - LOL).
You will notice the blog will take on a new direction in the upcoming weeks. More about the project and how you as a reader can get involved in the process. Stay tuned.
Cheers,
headcoach
This is a sign of good things to come people
