According to information found on MSNBC, Bill Cosby has recently recorded a hip-hop album set for release next month. “Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency” blends the comedian’s concepts and stories with a hip-hop, pop and jazz soundtrack.
“I do not rap on any of these things,” Cosby said Monday. “I wouldn’t know how to fix my mouth to say some of the words.”
Cosby, who by all measures that I can think of, has denounced rap and even rappers for the profanity and misogyny in their music. So, the question becomes: “what the hell are you doing Bill?” What’s interesting is that the efforts seems to be about using rap as a vehicle for a positive message. Unfortunately, it will probably go in vain because rap isn’t just about the music . . . it’s about the struggle, the candor, the aggressive energy and brashness - ingredients that Bill will not likely allow. I guess we’ll have to see.
The one good thing from this is that if Bill Cosby can release rap records and 70, then we’ll allow for Jay-Z to keep going a little longer - LOL.
What do you think?

Bill Cosby is the man and you know it. Bill is about change, so much so, that I think Obama should give him a job. Who knows maybe Bill’s rap album will actually be about something. Wouldn’t that be a nice change?
