“In a sense, we have similar production aesthetics,” [Arcade Fire lead singer Win Butler] explains. “What’s strong about [LDC Soundsystem leader James Murphy’s] stuff is he’s working in a kind of dance-y medium, but making stuff that sounds organic. And I think we have a somewhat similar approach. We really try to make things sound organic.”
Organic? Hey, you’ll find plenty of “organic” in the middle of a cow pasture. Doesn’t mean you want to indulge in it.

Oddly enough, the band’s arsenals overlap on LCD Soundsystem’s “Someone Great,” which incorporates a standard Arcade Fire instrument: the glockenspiel.
“It’s not very often you tour with a band who has a glockenspiel,” laughs Murphy.
Of course, now that the New York Times has highlighted the video, I’m guessing its days are numbered. Enjoy it while you can — which is actually more than I can say (I’m not particularly impressed, neither by the original song nor the passing sync job in the video).
